The African Burial Ground Memorial Project gives voice to the voiceless, buried generations without markers of remembrance. Located within the dense urban fabric of New York City, the site is sacred both as a place for the reinternment of African and African-American bones and as a site for a broader remembrance of the plight of African peoples around the world. The memorial addresses the memory of the dead; it is a space for the dialogue of the living.

The Museum of Art and Technology design aims to exemplify and inspire unprecedented applications of information technology. Symbiosis of digital media and architectural space results in a kind of cat's cradle situation: reciprocal elements bound in tension. Two seemingly separate horizontal spaces are toggled such that each appears to be an extraordinarily thick mass from which the other is carved. The structural system is based on mathematical theories of tensegrity, a force field of separate compression members held apart by cords in continuous tension.

In lieu of large-scale public housing, school design remains a vital bridge between city, state and federal entities. It is the nexus of the individual and social economy. An architecture that seeks to augment educational reform requires an optimistic pragmatism. Our proposal seeks to rethink the Robbins School design and its neighborhood while preserving the strengths and identity of its past.
