Gabriel Cuellar
Gabriel studied architecture at Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh and completed his post-graduate studies at the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam in 2012. His academic and independent professional work has been exhibited at the House of World Cultures, the Netherlands Architecture Institute, and the Canadian Centre for Architecture. He has worked in offices in Zurich, Paris, Rotterdam, and Houston, managing and contributing to building and urban-scale projects and competitions.
Independently, Gabriel is leading a research and conservation project for Freedmen’s churches in Texas, aiming to reactivate the urban and political potential of those historic sites. Initiated in 2012, the project has received several grants, including support from the AIA Houston.
Gabriel joined CDR Studio in 2015 and is engaged in project management and schematic design for the Audi of America program, while also contributing to other projects.
