Matthew received a Master of Architecture from the University of Virginia (2013) and a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture from North Carolina State University (2011). During his education, he studied abroad in Prague and the Czech Republic, and he conducted an independent travel fellowship documenting sacred and religious sites across France. While at UVA, Matthew served as the student editor for the first edition of the Catalyst design-research publication.
Prior to joining CDR Studio, Matthew was a lecturer at the University of Virginia School of Architecture, where he taught a research studio developing urban and architectural propositions for a toxic riverfront site in India. In addition to his academic pursuits, Matthew previously practiced with vir.mueller architects in New Delhi, India and served as the project architect for the Humayun’s Tomb Site Museum.
Matthew joined CDR Studio in 2015 and contributes to projects for the Audi of America program as well as other projects and competitions in the office.
