Jason Pelaez, RA, Associate

Jason has more than 10 years of combined experience in the fields of architecture and landscape architecture and approaches design with a consideration of how two work in concert to create meaningful places. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from University of California, Davis in 2004 and a Master of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley in 2015.

Jason's graduate studies included travel to the Netherlands to research housing typologies and participating in a wood fabrication workshop in Trondheim, Norway. As the recipient of the Chester Miller Traveling Fellowship, Jason also traveled to Ordos, China to study the effects of rapid urbanization in Inner Mongolia as part of his thesis work.

During school, Jason worked at the architecture offices of John Maniscalco in San Francisco and Richard Meier Partners in Los Angeles on multifamily and single-family residential projects. Prior to graduate school, Jason worked for landscape architecture practices in the San Francisco Bay Area and Singapore on projects ranging from urban parks and plazas to large scale master-plans.

Jason joined CDR Studio in 2015 and was named an Associate in January 2019. He serves as the Western Region Project Manager for the Audi of America Corporate Design Program and was Project Manager of the Audi Sport Program, an ambitious initiative involving the design and installation of more than 100 custom Audi Sport displays and transaction areas across the country during a nine-month period. He also has been involved with other studio projects and competitions.
