A green roof planted with local grasses shades the carousel and includes solar panels, which can be used to power the attraction: Any excess energy goes back to the city’s grid. The firm used industrial materials—such as steel and concrete, as well as grille roll-down enclosures—as a nod to the warehouse that used to stand on the site."
